Section Two • Adding the Domain to easyDNS

The next page presents you with a few options regarding how the domain is brought on to our system, and requires you to agree to the easyDNS Terms of service.

The top section of the page lists some information about changing to our DNS service, if you intend to do that, and asks you what information to use as the initial configuration on our nameservers. If you indicate that we should use the current DNS settings our servers will attempt to copy the dns information from the current nameservers for the domain to preserve existing hosting arrangements. It is important to note that this may not work, depending on the settings on the current nameservers, so you will want to check the DNS information for your domain after it is added. The easyDNS default settings will point to a standard "pending" page and forward email to the address in your member account.

The bottom section of that page will ask you to select a service level for your domain. To transfer your domain you need to select one of the 3 service levels mentioning "registrar transfer." If you are using your own or a hosting company's nameservers for the domain you will want to select "registrar transfer only," otherwise you will want to pick the level of DNS service you want to use. If you do not know what our service levels are, you can visit our service levels page.

Once you've selected the appropriate service level you need to indicate that you agree to the easyDNS terms of service and click "next."
