Section Two • Transfering Control of the Domain
Once the ownership details have changed on the whois record, the final consideration is granting the new owner actual control over the domain. This would need to be done through the registrar of the domain, so if the domain is not registered through easyDNS, you will need to contact the registrar to find out how to do this.

If easyDNS is the registrar of the domain, and the new owner also uses or intends to use easyDNS as registrar, you will need to log in to the account which controls the domain and scroll down the page for the utilities module. If you do not see this module, please refer to the Account Management tutorial to find out how to add it to your interface. What you will be doing is using the "move" utility to move the domain into his or her easyDNS account, so you will need to get the new owner to provide you with their username. The password to their account is not necessary, and should not be provided.

If the new owner does not intend to use easyDNS as the registrar, they will at this point need to contact their registrar to request a registrar transfer for the domain. Since the whois data has been changed, they should have no trouble confirming the transfer through the admin contact email, and once it is completed the ownership is changed.
