Section Two • Organization Information

On the next page you will be asked for the whois information for the "organization" which will constitute the owner of the domain. The name field on this page needs to be the full legal name of the owner of the domain, whether a group or individual. Below that is the legal type field, which affects what needs to be put in the name field (a legal type of corporation cannot have an individual's name as the owner) and will be discussed in a moment.

The description field allows you to enter a brief description of the domain, the company owning it, its purpose or other relevant information you want people to see when they look for the domain in the whois record.

Below that you have 2 checkboxes. The top box should be checked if the domain is a registered trademark, meaning the domain name is based on a registered trademark word or phrase that you own. The second indicates whether you wish to become a CIRA member. Becoming a CIRA member allows you to vote on the election of CIRA board members who govern the .ca registry, participate in the annual meeting, and be informed of upcoming decisions and policies.

The bottom section of this page allows you to specify the service level you want for the domain, and whether you want to initially specify easyDNS or other nameservers.
