One of the differences is in how the IP address in the A record for a domain name is updated. Remember that if you are using a static IP you can login to your easyDNS account, enter or update the IP address in the hosts section and you are done. It is quick and easy and you don't have to do it very often (usually only when you initially set up your domain or when switching hosting providers).

However, if you are using a dynamic IP then the IP address will change more frequently and at the discretion of your ISP. But how do you know when the IP changes, and then how do you go about updating the address in your domain settings on easyDNS? We'll look at this next.
