We often get clients asking us if they can use the dynamicDNS support built into their router. While we cannot support every router which is being produced with built in dynamicDNS support, there are some guidelines which should help a client configure the routers dynamicDNS to update our system.

Some routers are designed with a drop down list of DNS services supported by the router, which may or may not include us, or are specifically set to use a particular DNS provider who the router manufacturer has a partnership with. The most important thing is that you need to be able to enter members.easydns.com into the router or select easyDNS as the service to connect to.

For the username and password you would enter the information you use to login to the easyDNS members page. The other setting most routers ask for would be the host, which would be your domain name or the specific host of the domain you are trying to update, such as example.com or dynamic.example.com.

If after trying that you still have trouble, please email our support department, but please understand that we cannot guarantee that the router's dynamicDNS support is compatible with our service.
